Chelsea Swanson receives YLD Award of Achievement for Outstanding Service to the Profession

DPSS Associate Chelsea Swanson received the Young Lawyers Division State Bar of Georgia’s Award of Achievement for Outstanding Service to the Bar at the organization’s annual meeting on June 7, 2019. The recognition highlights Chelsea’s ongoing commitment to bar initiatives, including her service as co-chair for this year’s Young Lawyers Division Women in the Profession. For the past year, she has served as co-chair for the Women in the Profession committee, a position to which she was appointed by this year’s Young Lawyers Division President and Toombs County Chief Magistrate Judge Rizza Palmares O’Connor. As co-chair of her committee, Chelsea led one of the largest and most active committees in of the Young Lawyers Division. Some highlights of the committee’s events include lunch and learns, Beer + CLE, a wellness kickboxing class, a pro bono wills clinic, and luncheons in Savannah and Macon.

In addition to her investment in Georgia’s legal community, Chelsea is looked to for her experience in corporate and nonprofit law. Her practice involves a wide range of corporate matters, including nonprofit operations, business formations, corporate governance, intellectual property, and other commercial transactions and business matters.
