Taylor B. Strickland

Associate

Taylor B. Strickland joined Davis, Pickren, Seydel & Sneed, LLP in September 2016 and is an associate in the litigation practice group.

Taylor is a graduate of Valdosta State University (B.S., summa cum laude, 2013) where she earned a degree in Psychology, worked as a student researcher, and traveled to Montepulciano, Italy to study world justice systems. Taylor then attended the University of Georgia School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2016) where she was an active member of the appellate advocacy program. During her final year of law school, Taylor was inducted into the National Order of Barristers in recognition of superior advocacy skills and was selected as a pupil to the prestigious Joseph Henry Lumpkin American Inn of Court in Atlanta. Also during her final year, Taylor helped to draft and submit a clemency petition on behalf of a client referred to UGA Law’s Appellate Litigation Clinic by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit that was granted by President Obama, securing the release of the clinic’s client after more than 18 years in prison.

Originally from Hahira, Georgia, Taylor now lives in Atlanta with her husband, Brent.

  • Represented creditors and lenders in the recovery of defaulted loans and unpaid interest.
  • Represented contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in contractual disputes in numerous jurisdictions nationwide.
  • Represented lenders in foreclosures of real properties and subsequent confirmation actions to approve foreclosure sales and preserve deficiencies.
  • Represented landowners in dispossessory actions to recover possession of real property.
  • Represented creditor’s interests in bankruptcy matters, including adversary proceedings and lien avoidance actions.
  • Represented clients in many types of civil litigation matters, ranging from landlord/tenant disputes, to real property litigation and secured lending litigation.
