William Terry Pickren

Terry Pickren is a partner in the Atlanta, Georgia law firm of Davis, Pickren, Seydel & Sneed, LLP. Terry practices in the area of commercial real estate lending and acquisition. His practice includes the representation of lenders and borrowers on commercial loans for motels, daycare facilities, veterinarian practices and clinics, pharmacy facilities, dental practices, nursing home facilities, restaurants, manufacturing and retail facilities and other projects in over 20 states.
After completing his preparatory education at Young Harris College (A.B.A., 1969) and the University of Georgia (B.A., 1971), Terry received his legal education at Cumberland School of Law (J.D., 1974). He was admitted to the Georgia bar in 1974 and entered private practice in Atlanta, Georgia. Terry is a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, the Atlanta Bar, State Bar of Georgia and Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
Representative Experience
- Representation of banks and other lenders in negotiating and closing conventional real estate loans (construction and permanent), asset based and in government-guaranteed programs, such as the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA 7a loans and SBA 504 loans). As it relates to the closing of SBA loans, in the last six years the firm closed on average in excess of $300 million in loans per year.
- Represents lenders in government-guaranteed programs, such as the USDA Rural Development, the USDA Farm Service Agency and the USDA Rural Utility Services. As it relates to the closing of RD loans, over the past 14 years the firm has closed over 170 loan transactions in excess of $585 million.
- These transactions included motels, hotels, nursing homes, convenience stores/gas stations, poultry farms, a Vidalia onion grower, metal fabrication plants, food packaging facility, AC and heating refurbishing plant, pet food manufacturer, waste processing plant, vegetable processing and storage facility, sod and turf grower, nursery, water bottling facility, industrial and medical gas distribution plant, beverage and office products distributor, movie theater and polypropylene woven fabric and spiral tubes manufacturer, duplex facilities and apartment facilities, lumber yards, commercial strip malls, solar panel complex, peanut grower cooperative, blueberry processing facility, farm equipment manufacturing and sales facilities, Agribusiness Service Providers, modular home manufacturing facilities, film production, and IPTV platform.
